Finnish Design Shop to build new logistics center in Turku – Avanto Architects and Studio Joanna Laajisto involved in the design

Finnish Design Shop's new 12,000 m² logistics center will be built in Turku, southwestern Finland. Avanto Architects Ltd will design the facades, and Studio Joanna Laajisto is responsible for the interior. The building will be certified using the prestigious BREEAM environmental certification system. Classic chairs by Alvar Aalto chosen for the interior of the Bob W apartment hotel

In the early 1930s, Alvar Aalto designed several chairs made of bentwood and plywood. The Bob W apartment hotel, to be opened in Helsinki in spring 2021, will feature these Aalto classics made by Artek.
