Description

Brass Top table lamp, designed by Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen in the 1950s, is a Danish design classic that has been re-released by Warm Nordic. A playful combination of a metallic shade, brass stem, string switch and cone-shaped top, Brass Top makes a pleasant reading light or decorative detail of a living room. The silky matt lacquer gives the lamp a soft and sophisticated finish.

In the 1950s, the Danish lighting designer and ornamental metalworker Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen created a wide range of luminaires characterized by skillfully shaped metal and harmonious details. Warm Nordic’s re-release makes the distinctive design lamps available to contemporary homes and interiors.

Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen

Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen (1913-2004) was a Danish designer who is best known for his wide collection of light fixtures. A licensed ornamental metalworker, Holm-Sørensen started his design career in the 1950s, and many on his designs feature metal surface with different ornaments and perforations. Besides luminaires, Holm-Sørensen also designed furniture and small items.
