Shipping currently not available to Ukraine, Russia and Belarus

Due to the current saddening events, we are unable to deliver our goods to Ukrainian, Russian and Belarussian shipping addresses. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

The effects of the COVID-19 outbreak on shipping

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, delivery delays may occur with some of our manufacturers and suppliers. This applies to products marked In stock soon and Available for order.

We continue to ship in-stock products from our warehouse in Turku, Finland daily.

Our team is monitoring the situation closely and will announce any changes regarding shipping methods and delivery on our FAQ page.

100% climate-compensated deliveries

Since the transport sector is a significant source of carbon emissions, we want to do our bit in reducing their negative impact on the climate. Emission-free modes of transport are being developed, but there is still work to be done. That’s why we encourage our partners to take a step towards more sustainable operations, such as switching to vehicles running on electricity or fossil-free fuels.

Until emission-free options are widely available, we will ensure that the carbon footprint of our deliveries is fully offset – without any additional cost to our customers. To our delight, some of our transport partners are already compensating for their emissions.

Finnish Design Shop will offset its carbon emissions by acquiring forests in Finland and protecting them within the framework of the METSO program. Forests are important carbon sinks: as forest grows, it stores carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to trees and the soil. By establishing new preservation areas, we can also protect forest biodiversity and encourage people to make the most of the Finnish ‘everyman’s rights’ – that is, the right of public access to nature – and all the other experiences nature has to offer.


Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide to over 180 countries. You can select your shipping destination at the top left corner of our website.

Where do you dispatch from?

All orders are shipped from our own warehouse in Turku, Finland.

Please note:

  • Please check the packaging of your item(s) upon delivery for external damages before signing the proof of delivery. In case you detect any damage such as dirt, moisture or cuts, ask the driver to log an initial complaint about the issue. If the item has been damaged during transport, please file a freight claim within three days of receiving the order.
  • We recommend that you receive your parcel personally. If you have authorized the courier to leave it in a safe place and it goes missing after delivery, we are not responsible for the loss.

Shipping cost

• European Union (EU) countries, UK, Norway & Switzerland

Currently, we offer free standard shipping* on all orders over  150 €. If the total value of the order is less than  150 €, the shipping cost will start from  6 depending on the weight, volume and shipping destination of the items. *Exclusions apply: non-continental shipping destinations such as Malta and Cyprus.

Please note that all deliveries to Switzerland are shipped on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis. Additional duties, taxes and fees may apply.

• International shipping

For non-European Union countries the shipping cost, starting from  7,90 €, is based on the destination, weight and volume of the parcel. The shipping cost for each item is displayed on the product page. 

Shipping methods & delivery times

We offer the following shipping methods:

• Budbee Box

Budbee will deliver your order to the Budbee Box of your choice. Once you have received the pin code for your locker, you can pick up the parcel in 7 days when it best suits you.

This shipping method is available for orders in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

• FexEx Economy

FedEx will deliver your goods to the shipping address within 2–6 business days after placing the order.

The estimated delivery date is based on the shipping destination and displayed at checkout. Deliveries are made on business days from Monday to Friday.

For orders shipped outside the EU, the customer is responsible for paying possible import duties and any applicable taxes, including clearance and local taxes as the goods are Delivered at Place (DAP).

• FedEx Priority

FedEx Priority is the fastest shipping option available: orders are delivered within 1–3 business days. Deliveries are made on business days from Monday to Friday. 

The estimated delivery date is based on the shipping destination and displayed at checkout. 

For orders shipped outside the EU, the customer is responsible for paying possible import duties and any applicable taxes, including clearance and local taxes as the goods are Delivered at Place (DAP).

• DHL Parcel, from  8,80 € (Europe) /  15,99 € (outside Europe)

Your order will be delivered to the shipping address or a post office by a local postal carrier. The shipping cost is based on the destination and weight of the parcel and will be calculated automatically. The exact rate and estimated delivery date for your country are displayed at checkout. DHL Parcel is often the most economical shipping method for items that are large and lightweight.

You can track your order within 3 business days after it has been shipped. DHL Parcel orders are dispatched from our warehouse on Wednesdays and Fridays. After the first delivery attempt, the parcel will be transported to a local pickup point. Please note that DHL Parcel is not available for all orders.

• GLS Euro Business Parcel (EU) from 8,90 €

Available for shipments under 35 kg.

Your order will be shipped to the delivery address via GLS Euro Business Parcel service or a local GLS partner. Please allow 2–8 business days for your order to arrive. The delivery time depends on the shipping destination and you will see the estimated delivery date at checkout before placing the order.

Deliveries are made between Monday to Friday during regular business hours. After the first delivery attempt, the parcel will be transported to a local pickup point. In Sweden, all shipments under 20 kg will be delivered to a pickup point.

• UPS Standard, from  6 €

Your order will be shipped to the delivery address via UPS Standard service. Please allow 2-7 business days for your order to arrive. The delivery time depends on the shipping destination and you will see the estimated delivery date at checkout. Deliveries are made between Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

• UPS Expedited (for international orders)

Your order will be shipped to the delivery address via UPS Expedited service. Please allow 1-2 weeks for your order to arrive. The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight and volume of the parcel and will be calculated automatically. The delivery time depends on the shipping destination and you will see the estimated delivery date at checkout. Deliveries are made between Monday to Friday during regular business hours. 

• UPS Express Saver

UPS Express Saver is the fastest shipping option available. Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to arrive. The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight and volume of the parcel and will be calculated automatically. You will see the estimated delivery date at checkout. Deliveries are made between Monday to Friday during regular business hours. Please note that UPS Express Saver is not available for all orders.

• Delivery to a pickup location

Your order will be shipped to a pickup location of your choice via UPS Standard or faster UPS Express Saver. At checkout, select the shipping method and then a suitable pickup point from a list of five of the closest locations, based on the provided shipping address. You will receive an email notification from UPS once your order is available for pickup.

Please note that delivery to a pickup location is not available for all orders. UPS has pickup locations currently in the following countries: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and USA. Orders with a weight of over 20 kg or a length of over 80 cm cannot be delivered to a pickup point.

• TNT (for international orders)

Your order will be delivered to the shipping address on a pallet via the TNT Economy Express or TNT Express service. TNT is often the most economical shipping method for bulky and oversized items such as sofas, lounge chairs and dining tables. Please note that carrying the goods indoors or upstairs is not included in the service.

The shipping cost is based on the destination and weight of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. The exact rate and estimated delivery date for your country are displayed at checkout.

TNT Economy Express: please allow 4–8 business days for your order to arrive.
TNT Express: please allow 3–6 business days for your order to arrive.

• DSV Freight (for international orders)

Your order will be delivered to the shipping address on a pallet via the DSV Freight service – another shipping method available for oversized items. 

If you would like your items to be carried inside your house or office, contact our Customer Service. Please note that this additional service is not available in all locations.

Europe: please allow 2-9 business days for your order to arrive. We offer free standard shipping for all orders over  150 €.
Rest of the world: The shipping cost and estimated delivery date will be stated in the quote provided by our customer service.
