In August, Finnish Design Shop welcomed a collection of enchanting luminaires from Fritz Hansen, Woud, and a new Korean brand, AGO. Take a peek at the most swoon-worthy new products and find your favorite!
AGO: Nova pendant
AGO is a Korean brand focused on lighting launched in 2019. AGO speaks for local production, quality, and simplistic yet imaginative design. The Nova pendant, designed by Studio Jinsik Kim, draws inspiration from space and sci-fi: the graphic, intersecting metal halos create a suspenseful yet calming ensemble.
Gubi: IOI wall mirror
Gubi's grand IOI mirror and IOI coffee tables are designed by Italian duo GamFratesi: Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. The elegant, art deco inspired collection gets its clever name from the union of spherical shapes and straight lines.
Marimekko: Letto bowl
Marimekko's Letto bowl features a warm, sun-drenched color palette, and a pattern created by Aino-Maija Metsola depicting vast Finnish marshlands in August bloom. The bowl is a part of the Oiva dishware collection by Sami Ruotsalainen, guaranteed to stand the test of time both in design and quality.
String Furniture: String Pocket shelf
The iconic String Pocket shelf by String Furniture is now available in a new, velvety powder shade. The calming beige hue is perfect for all spaces, and it can easily be combined with other String Pocket shelves in different colors, looking especially dreamy paired with fresh white or dark wood.
Woud: Ghost table lamp
Woud's sympathetic Ghost table lamp resembles a petite, translucent ghost – albeit a very elegant one. Designed by Andreas Kowalewski, the lamp features an opal glass shade that diffuses the light into a soft, delicate gleam making it perfect for the nightstand or a bookshelf.
