One of the patterns of Iittala’s Sarjaton tableware is Lotta Olsson’s delicate Varpu (twig in Finnish). The Swedish illustrator has a close relationship with nature, and drew her inspiration from the forests of Finland. She chose to portray tiny twigs, since, to her, their beautiful details represent the diversity of the Finnish flora. Varpu’s blue hues reflect the Arctic taiga, whereas the earthy tones depict the northern nature and traditions in a fresh way. The charming design will colour your table setting with forests’ fairytales.
