FDB Møbler’s J83 stool is an attractive wooden piece designed by Jørgen Bækmark in the 1950s. Featuring an angular oak frame with paper yarn seat, the organic look of J83 stool serves many different styles and spaces. The stool can be used as an extra seat by a dining table or as a footstool with the J82 armchair.

Jørgen Bækmark

Jørgen Bækmark is a Danish cabinetmaker and designer who worked as head of the FDB design studio between 1958–1967. Born 1929, Bækmark first studied to become a cabinetmaker, after which he studied at Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts to become a furniture designer. According to his design philosophy, furniture must fit people, not vice versa.
