Description

The soulful look of OX Denmarq's Rama chair comes from a gentle combination of soaped oak wood and natural leather. Designed by Dennis Marquart, the Rama chair is meant to live and change with time. The vegetable tanned leather seat will develop a deep, beautiful patina and softer surface as it gets older. Leather and wood are materials that will age in an individual way, and therefore every Rama chair makes a fully unique design piece. Timelessly elegant Rama chair will find its place for instance by the fireplace, at the office or under a reading light. The organic combination of leather and wood represent the old traditions of Scandinavian design, and the clean, minimalistic lines give the chair a modern spirit. Rama chair fits smoothly into contemporary décor and goes well together with older design classics as well. Handmade by skillful Danish craftsmen, Rama is a piece of art that will only get better with age.

Dennis Marquart

Dennis Marquart, co-founder of the Danish design company OX Denmarq, is known for his attraction to plain forms and combinations of various different materials. Besides studying furniture design at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, Marquart has also studied in Japan and China. The Asian influence is visible in his work as aesthetics of simplicity and precision, which fit seamlessly together with the traditions of Scandinavian design. In the collections of OX Denmarq, classic and strong materials such as leather, wood and steel take modern and light forms together. A fine example is the O Table, in which marble and steel combine into an airy and fresh design.
