Klaus Haapaniemi’s Bees blanket is woven from 100% wool and adorned with an ornamental pattern featuring bees, plants and ripe fruit. The blanket is woven using a technique that makes it thick and soft, but also very lightweight. There's an overlock stitching around the edges and a brand tag on one corner. Klaus Haapaniemi (b. 1970) is one of Finland’s most internationally acclaimed illustrators and designers. His distinctive style blends themes drawn from Nordic nature, folklore and mythology with a luxurious and modern esthetic. A graduate of the Lahti Institute of Design, Haapaniemi has created prints for brands like Diesel, Levi’s and Dolce & Gabbana, and illustrated the beloved Iittala tableware series Taika and Satumetsä. Haapaniemi was named Finland’s Designer of the Year in 2008 and was awarded the Finnish State Prize for Design in 2018.
In 2010, Haapaniemi founded his own brand, Klaus Haapaniemi Co., together with his spouse Mia Wallenius. The collection features a range of high-quality textiles and decor items, such as decorative cushions and wallpapers. Having lived in London for many years, the designer now divides his time between Berlin, Germany, and Tampere, Finland.

The design of the blanket is fantastic. Just wish that the aubergine deep purple would have been more dramatic as it appears to just be a dark blue/grey. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase process and quick delivery.
