Description

Cuillères, French for "spoons", is a lithography print by Russian artist Yuri Kuper. The contemporary fine art print from 1995 is characterised by multiple layers of deep colours and an abundance of details that only reveal themselves at closer inspection of the print’s surface. The lithograph is hand-signed by the artist and numbered – it has been printed in an edition of 50 impressions.

Yuri Kuper

Yuri Kuper is a Russian artist, sculptor and graphic designer born in 1940, known for his mixed media work that often includes common objects. Kuper’s colour palette is comparable to a muted rainbow with dusty greys, browns and greens. Kuper has had over 50 exhibitions at the world’s most prestigious galleries in France, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the US, and his works have been selected to several high-profile public collections, like MoMA in New York and The Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. in the United States, as well as Fonds Nationale d’Art Contemporain, France Ministère de la culture in Paris, France.
