Lara Bohinc

Lara Bohinc (born 1972) studied industrial and graphic design in Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with an MA in jewelry and metalwork from the Royal College of Art in London in 1996. Next year she won the New Generation Design award and founded her own luxury brand with a sought-after range of jewelry, handbags, shoes, scarves and sunglasses. Bohinc’s modern classics are created with manufacturing methods such as photo etching and laser cutting.

Bohinc has collaborated with renowned fashion brands including Gucci, Lanvin and Costume National, and worked as a jewelry design consultant for Cartier since 2000. In 2012 she was appointed MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for her contributions to the British fashion industry. She has also designed home goods for Skultuna and a collection of tables for Lapicida.
