Description

Pirce Mini by Artemide is a fascinating pendant lamp consisting of spiraling aluminum disks. Designed by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà, Pirce has an airy and lightweight structure yet bold and powerful appearance. With an almost 27.56 in (70 cm) wide diameter, Pirce Mini is a luminaire of ample spaces, but its moderate height makes it suitable for lower rooms and dining areas, too.

Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà

Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà is an Italian designer who has a background in industrial design, mechanics and research & development. Scutellà’s collaboration with the Italian lighting company Artemide began in 2008 with the Pirce lamp that was awarded the Good Design Award, Red Dot Award and iF Design Award. Scutellà describes his own approach to lighting design: “Light is an enrapturing luminous sound, is beautifully alive, dynamic, as well as intimate and gentle; respecting its nature, embracing its language, trying to provide multiple keys for interpretation wherever I can in the projects I address, is my own way to approach its magic nature.”
