Yrjö Kukkapuro’s Nelonen poster features a selection of iconic chairs by the legendary Finnish designer. Finnish for “four”, Nelonen is a general term used for Kukkapuro’s small-series and one-off designs, a diverse body of work that spans materials ranging from wood, aluminum and plywood to laminate, acrylic and even ice hockey sticks. The color palette, characteristically for Kukkapuro, is equally bold and playful.
The poster was designed by Fabian Harb from the Swiss design studio Dinamo. It was created for Gallery Lemmetti’s Nelonen-themed exhibition, which showcased an extensive collection of Kukkapuro’s chairs from 1988 through to the 2000s.
