Layer sideboard, low, dark oak
Description
Design House Stockholm's Layer sideboard has a quiet trick up its sleeve. At first glance, the sideboard reads as a classic storage cabinet, but designer Mathieu Gustafsson has set the doors slightly off-kilter, and it's that gentle asymmetry that gives the piece its character. It also leaves a little room to wonder what's behind those doors — a treasured ceramic, perhaps, or a household elf keeping watch? Open the oak doors, and you'll find generous space for dishes, clothes, textiles, and whatever else you'd like to tuck away.
