Gio Ponti: More than One
Description
Gio Ponti: More than One by Lars Müller Publishers offers a compelling introduction to the multifaceted master of Italian modernism. Gio Ponti (1891–1979) was not only an architect and designer but also a critic, publisher and visionary whose creative legacy spans from ceramics and skyscrapers to abstract thought. Between 1923 and 1930, Ponti served as the artistic director of tableware manufacturer Richard Ginori, and in 1928, he founded Domus magazine, which he led for nearly his entire life. Throughout his prolific career, Ponti worked not just in Italy but also internationally, leaving an indelible mark on the history of modern architecture – from Milan to Tehran and from Caracas to Stockholm.
This 288-page volume is enriched with nearly 300 images.
