Artek’s children’s stool NE60 is a four-legged stool designed by Alvar Aalto, made from Finnish birch and finished with a birch veneer seat. The original version, the Aalto stool 60, is one of the icons of furniture design. First introduced in 1933, Aalto’s stackable stool was a sensation in the design world of its time. The children’s Aalto stool uses the same leg-bending technique, where the wood is first sawn lengthwise from the end into a fan-like shape, and thin veneers are glued into the open grooves.
The stackable children’s stool NE60 is an excellent seat for a children’s room and also works as a handy small table. The stool is made in Finland.
