Description

String Furniture's Museum Pedestal belongs to the Museum collection, created for String by design studio TAF Studio. The first shelf in the collection was originally designed for the National Museum of Sweden to support the weight of the museum's bust collection. The sturdy Museum Pedestal continues this legacy in a new, freestanding form. Made from powder-coated aluminium, the versatile side table works beautifully as a display surface for art objects, a pedestal for plants or vases, a small bedside table, or an extra surface in the hallway or beside the sofa.

TAF Studio

The Swedish architects Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom have run the architecture and design studio TAF (previously TAF Architects) in Stockholm, Sweden, since 2002. TAF Studio’s aim is to make ordinary life less ordinary through subtle but effective changes in how products and architecture appear and function. A recurrent departure point in TAF Studio’s projects is that everyday objects by their very commonness can be made uncommon.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
 700 zł.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over 15 000 zł.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from 150 zł to 799 zł and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

As a member, you’ll enjoy even better free shipping benefits on small items:

  • Level 2: Free shipping for orders over 650 zł
  • Level 3–4: Free shipping for orders over 500 zł

Exclusions apply: For large item deliveries, an additional surcharge is applied based on your location and the size and weight of your shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).
