Marimekko's Oiva plate is decorated with the colourful Daily Variations pattern by Danish artist Vibeke Rohland. With its playful tones and stripes, Daily Variations adds a fresh chapter to Marimekko's world of prints, bringing surprising new proportions to shapes you already know and love.
Ideal for serving appetisers, bread or desserts, this small rectangular ceramic plate is part of the Oiva tableware range, designed by Sami Ruotsalainen, and is easily combinable with monochrome dishware as well as other Marimekko patterns.

Vibeke Rohland (b. 1957) is a Danish textile artist and designer whose work combines bold graphic form with careful craftsmanship. Rohland studied art history at the University of Copenhagen and trained as a textile designer at Skolen for Brugskunst, graduating in 1986. Her early career took her to New York and Paris, where she worked at the haute couture textile studio of Israeli artist Eliakim Shpigel.
Rohland's work is known for its confident use of colour, pattern, and material, and the deliberate meeting of opposites has run through her practice from the start. Her textiles are held in museum collections in Denmark and Germany, and over a long career she has worked with Marimekko, Kvadrat, HAY, Bang & Olufsen, and Royal Copenhagen, among many others.
