Description

TAKT’s Spoke sofa is a modern wooden-frame sofa designed by Anderssen & Voll, developed with the ambition to create a sofa that excels in durability – structurally, visually, and environmentally. The result of three years of development, Spoke pairs a slender oak frame with generously padded cushions upholstered in recycled materials. The seat cushions are filled with resilient, recyclable foam that retains its comfort and shape over time, while removable armrest cushions let you easily adapt the sofa to different moments – from relaxed family evenings to nap time on your own.

The Spoke sofa’s design draws on both Danish design heritage and contemporary Japanese aesthetics, resulting in a calm and balanced expression. Every detail is guided by circular design principles, and the removable textile elements make maintenance and cleaning straightforward. Delivered in eco-friendly flat-pack packaging, the sofa is easy to assemble, and in line with TAKT’s philosophy, all components are detachable and replaceable if needed.

Anderssen & Voll

Anderssen & Voll is a design studio based in Oslo, led by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll. Founded in 2009, the studio is known for its open, dialogue-driven approach to design. Anderssen & Voll’s work spans furniture and lighting as well as textiles, everyday objects and complete interior concepts, and the studio is widely regarded as one of the most internationally respected names in contemporary Norwegian design.

Anderssen & Voll has collaborated with a wide range of clients, including Muuto, &Tradition and Audo Copenhagen. The duo’s work has been recognised with numerous awards, both in Norway and internationally.

Anderssen & Voll – at the heart of Norwegian design

The design studio Anderssen & Voll was founded in 2009, when Torbjørn Anderssen (b. 1976) and Espen Voll (b. 1965), the founders of the Oslo-based design company Norway Says, decided to start a new chapter together. Established in 2000, Norway Says played a key role in bringing Norwegian design to international attention.

The duo share a similar background, having both studied at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, where Anderssen now works as a professor. They are equally aligned in their ambitions: Anderssen & Voll strive to design and create products that stand the test of time, both functionally and aesthetically.

Dialogue and creative friction

At the core of Anderssen & Voll’s design philosophy lies a continuous dialogue between two strong perspectives. The designers have described their collaboration as a process of challenging one another – disagreements and friction are not obstacles, but an essential part of the creative process. This tension is also reflected in the final result: the design is thoughtful, yet never predictable.

Product design and interior architecture

Anderssen & Voll’s portfolio includes furniture, lighting, home accessories and textiles, as well as interior and exhibition projects. The studio has designed interiors for restaurants, trade fair stands and the headquarters of Norwegian brand Nedre Foss, for whom they have also created several products.

Throughout their career, Anderssen & Voll have received numerous international design awards, including the Wallpaper* Design Award, Red Dot Award and iF Design Award, and have been named Designers of the Year in Norway and Scandinavia.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
£129.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over  £3000.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from £29 to £149 and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.
