Description

LAYERED's Shaggy is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Greek flokati rug, with roots stretching back more than two thousand years. Originally crafted to protect against the harsh winters of the mountain regions, flokati rugs later became a staple of 1960s and 70s home interiors.

LAYERED's Shaggy rugs are first handwoven, then submerged in ice-cold water where the swirling currents replicate the force of mountain streams, causing the wool fibres to expand and soften. This process creates the signature voluminous, organic texture of the Shaggy rug and also makes every rug unique. The 100% wool and long, fluffy pile make Shaggy the kind of rug you'll be especially grateful for on winter mornings, when your slippers are stranded in the other room. Then again, sinking your feet into something this soft is tempting at any hour!

  • Notes Hand-tufted. Each rug is unique and can vary slightly in size and color. To prevent the rug from slipping, it is recommended to use a rug pad.
  • Care instructions Vacuum regularly without a brush. For deeper cleaning, it is recommended to use a laundry service for flat washing.
    Due to their long pile and the natural material, shaggy rugs have a tendency to shed. The shedding decreases over time by regular vacuuming but will never cease completely.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

We offer free shipping on small items for orders over
150 €.

For large items, free shipping applies to orders over 3000 €.

“Small item” refers to parcels under 80 cm in length or weighing less than 25 kg. Larger or heavier shipments are classified as “Large item deliveries” (see below).

Please note that the free shipping thresholds stated above may not apply in certain cases. In such situations, any applicable shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout.

Large item delivery charge range from 29 € to 149 €  and is automatically calculated and displayed on the product page and at checkout. The exact cost is confirmed once your delivery address has been entered.

Large item delivery charges apply to any single parcel with a side longer than 80 cm or weighing more than 25 kg.

Please note that exceptions to these fees may apply to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of large or delicate items. In such cases, the final delivery cost will be displayed at checkout.

As a member, you’ll enjoy even better free shipping benefits on small items:

  • Level 2: Free shipping for orders over 129 €
  • Level 3–4: Free shipping for orders over 99 €

Exclusions apply: For large item deliveries, an additional surcharge is applied based on your location and the size and weight of your shipment.
