GUBI’s Poltrona Tria lounge chair showcases Italian architect and designer Carlo De Carli’s exploration of an entirely new material: rattan. It’s safe to say his first venture was a success — the gracefully curved lines of the Poltrona Tria create an exceptionally elegant and comfortable chair, whose natural look brings character to both private living rooms and public spaces alike.

The name Poltrona Tria refers to the chair’s distinctive three-part armrests. The lounge chair's lightweight yet durable frame is made from natural rattan, steam-bent by hand and finished in a semi-gloss chestnut tone. GUBI has introduced several modern updates to the original 1970s design. The former fabric webbing has been replaced with rattan, creating a more cohesive appearance while also improving support and comfort. On top of the rattan seat rest plush cushions upholstered in luxurious Limonta Fustagno cotton fabric that adds a soft and sophisticated touch to the overall look of the lounge chair.
