This time, the material of the classic lanterns has been replaced by a delicate but strong washi paper that allows the light to filter softly and beautifully. The oak wood joints add even more warmth and character to the overall look of the lamp.

Danish architect and designer Lars Vejen is best known for creating harmonious designs that seamlessly blend form, function and context. He graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1996 and spent the next 18 years at Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, where he led design efforts for over a decade. In 2014, he founded his own design studio named Design Studio Lars Vejen, working between Denmark and Japan and collaborating with manufacturers and artisans across a wide range of industries. His designs have earned him multiple accolades, including the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award.
