Artek’s bench 167 is a lightweight yet sturdy wooden bench designed by Alvar Aalto in 1945. As with many other Aalto designs, the bench features L-shaped legs bent from solid birch, while the seat is upholstered in leather. Made in Finland.
The generously sized bench 167 works equally well at a dining table or as seating in an entryway, and it is also well suited for public spaces. Despite its age, the bench has a fresh, modern expression that makes it easy to combine with both contemporary furniture and timeless design classics.
