Description

Labofa’s Heritage 11.1 chair is easily recognized as a product of 1950s modernism. Originally designed in the mid-1950s, the dining chair combines a bent, veneered wooden seat with a slender steel frame, evoking the essence of mid-century modern style. The lightweight yet durable structure of the Heritage 11.1 chair, paired with its thoughtfully designed and comfortable seat, makes it a perfect choice for dining tables as well as offices, hotel rooms or restaurants.

Labofa's Heritage collection draws inspiration from the esteemed Danish company’s iconic vintage pieces, which have been rejuvenated under the curation of the design studio Norm Architects. The collection predominantly focuses on Danish design from the 1950s and 1960s, characterised by its minimalist and clean lines combined with sturdy, durable and nature-inspired materials.

Norm Architects

Norm Architects is a dynamic design duo composed by the Danish architects Kasper Rønn (b. 1976) and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen (b. 1976), both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts in Copenhagen. Being true modernists, they believe in design where the focus is in meeting a real need instead of creating one, and this reflects from their work as architects as well as industrial designers.

Though bearing a strong admiration for some of the most pure minimalists, Norm Architects is not easy to categorize. The architects see their work as a part of the Scandinavian modernist tradition – functional, minimal, poetic and timeless – with a profound understanding of natural materials and a special attention to detail. One of their most successful products is the MILK lamp, designed for &Tradition, that combines wood and glass.
