Designer
Alain Gilles (b. 1970) is a Belgian designer who was born in Brussels. Despite initially pursuing a career in international finance, he eventually decided to follow his true passion for design and enrolled in a course in Industrial Design at the Institut Supérieur de Design in Valenciennes, where he graduated in 2005. In 2007, he founded his eponymous design studio, called Alain Gilles The Studio, which engages in various design disciplines such as product design, furniture design, art direction, installations, and set design.
Throughout his career, Gilles has worked with well-known designers, companies and international brands in the industry, including Ligne Roset, BuzziSpace, Vincent Sheppard, La Chance and Miniforms. His work has been widely recognized and he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Henry Van De Velde Award, the Design for Asia Golden Award, the Red Dot Best of the Best, the Good Design Award, and the ADA Archiproducts Design Awards. In 2012, he was honoured as the 'Designer of the Year' at the Biennale Interieur Fair in Kortrijk, Belgium.

- Die Dusche sieht hochwertig aus, genau wie erwartet, ein Schmuckstück im Garten - Für den Anschluss der Wasserleitung habe ich eine neue GARDENA Kupplung verwendet. Da sich mind. 2 Liter Wasser in der Dusche befinden ist der Druck so hoch, dass die Kupplung leckt. Werde versuchen eine Kupplung aus Metall zu nutzten die mind. 2 bar Druck aushält. - Leider tropft auch der Brausekopf. Das macht auf Dauer Flecken auf der Terrasse.
