Description

The Flick rug by Normann Copenhagen blends two colours into a harmonious and dynamic whole. According to designer Yuchen Wu, the rug is all about the interplay between tone and perception: “Flick is like watching scenery flick by on a journey. Up close, you see detailed craftsmanship; from afar, it transforms into a seamless blend.”

Made from hand-tufted New Zealand wool, the Flick rug is both durable and pleasantly soft underfoot. The rug is a versatile choice for various spaces: perfect under a sofa in the living room, next to the bed in the bedroom or in the home office to bring calm and balance to the room.

  • Length: 200 cm
  • Width: 80 cm
  • Yarn height: 1.8 cm

  • Material 100% New Zealand wool

Yuchen Wu

Taiwanese designer Yuchen Wu worked in a design agency in Taiwan after completing her studies, where she was exposed to a variety of design projects, ultimately finding her passion for designing furniture and accessories. Yuchen made the decision to investigate the sector internationally in an effort to gather expertise and eventually found herself in Denmark working as an in-house designer at Normann Copenhagen.

A big source of inspiration for Yuchen's creative work is her childhood in Taiwan's lovely countryside, which is surrounded by stunning natural features including the sea and mountains. Achieving a healthy balance between aesthetics and usefulness is at the heart of Yuchen's design philosophy. Her goal is to produce designs that are both functional for daily usage and infused with beauty and poetry. Furthermore, Yuchen places a high priority on sustainability in her design work.
