Emiliana Martinelli is an Italian lighting designer and art director of the family-owned brand Martinelli Luce. Emiliana Martinelli comes from Lucca, Italy, where she studied ceramics before achieving diplomas in industrial design and architecture in Florence. After her graduation, Martinelli began working for Martinelli Luce, a company founded by her father Elio, the chairwoman of which she is to this day. Emiliana Martinelli often finds inspiration in nature and geometric shapes as well as shadows.
