Tal Rosenzweig (b. 1967), better known by his artist name Tal R, is a Danish artist who lives and works in Copenhagen. He was born in Tel Aviv but moved to Denmark with his family when he was one year old. His studies took him first to Billedskolen and later to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated in 2000.
Tal R describes his own way of working with the Hebrew word kolboynik, meaning leftovers or a jack-of-all-trades. His paintings bring together images, colours and influences gathered from all kinds of sources, with no strict boundaries drawn between styles. His work has been shown in galleries and museums around the world, and from 2005 to 2014 he was a professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
