Description

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art poster features Tables by Hungarian artist Simon Hantaï, a work shown at Louisiana in 1978. The piece belongs to Hantaï’s well-known series in which coloured squares and the empty spaces between them form a rhythmic, interlocking composition. The Tables series has been interpreted in many ways: some see the squares as confining bars, while others perceive them as lively and uplifting. With its modern, multidimensional character, the poster makes a striking addition to various interiors, adding movement and visual rhythm to any room.
