Description

Klaus Haapaniemi’s Rabbit throw is illustrated with an ornamental setting of jumping rabbits and plant motifs. The large, fringed thrown can be used as a blanket for napping or spread on a bed or sofa.

Illustrator and designer Klaus Haapaniemi has collaborated with designer Mia Wallenius to create a unique range of home and fashion textiles inspired by the Nordic nature and Finnish folklore. The beautiful patterns follow traditional decorative arts but their style and approach are modern. The finest natural materials combined with detailed patterns create a truly luxurious collection.

  • Notes Hand knotted fringes on all sides.
  • Care instructions Dry clean only. Cool iron on reverse side. Use a fabric steamer to freshen up between washes. Possible pilling can be removed with fabric shaver.

Klaus Haapaniemi

Klaus Haapaniemi (b. 1970) is one of Finland’s most internationally acclaimed illustrators and designers. His distinctive style blends themes drawn from Nordic nature, folklore and mythology with a luxurious and modern aesthetic. A graduate of the Lahti Institute of Design, Haapaniemi has created prints for brands like Diesel, Levi’s and Dolce & Gabbana, and illustrated the beloved Iittala tableware series Taika and Satumetsä. Haapaniemi was named Finland’s Designer of the Year in 2008 and was awarded the Finnish State Prize for Design in 2018.

In 2010, Haapaniemi founded his own brand, Klaus Haapaniemi Co., together with his spouse Mia Wallenius. The collection features a range of high-quality textiles and decor items, such as decorative cushions and wallpapers. Having lived in London for many years, the designer now divides his time between Berlin, Germany, and Tampere, Finland.
