Olivia chair, dark oak
Description
Design House Stockholm’s Olivia chair invites you to sit down and run your hand along the smooth, curved surface of its wooden frame. Made from solid oak with rubberwood and oak veneer, this dining chair is just as well suited for long dinners as it is for quiet moments with a good book, whether at home or in a cosy café.
Designed by Tatu Laakso, Olivia was born from the idea of balancing opposites. The result is a chair that is at once light yet durable, minimal yet ergonomic, traditional yet modern. Its airy silhouette echoes the classics of Scandinavian design – especially Finnish functionalism and the legacy of Alvar Aalto – yet Olivia feels unmistakably contemporary, both in form and comfort. The series comes in a range of colours that pair beautifully together, each one highlighting the unique, rich grain patterns of the wood.
