Description

Rörstrand's Fågel plate is part of a tableware collection celebrating the 300-year history of Europe’s second-oldest porcelain manufacturer. The Fågel Jubilee plate is adorned with the charming nature-inspired motif that draws inspiration from Rörstrand’s 18th-century designs, which often featured birds, flowers, and other small wonders of the natural world. The Fågel collection’s timeless elegance invites playful mixing and matching – mugs, bowls, and plates look beautiful together as well as paired with other tableware.

Made from high-quality feldspar porcelain, the Fågel plate is equally at home brightening everyday meals as well as more festive table settings. The plate has a diameter of 21 centimetres, and it can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher once the celebrations are over.

Anna Lerinder

Swedish designer Anna Lerinder (b. 1970) is best known for her work in porcelain design. She studied at Beckmans School of Design and further developed her craft while working at the Rörstrand porcelain factory. Today, Lerinder is based at the former porcelain factory area in Gustavsberg, where she works as both a freelance designer and a ceramic artist.

At the heart of Lerinder’s practice are form, proportion, and contrast. Her portfolio ranges from functional tableware and wall reliefs to large-scale public artworks, and her work is represented in collections such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg. Moving effortlessly between different ceramic materials, Lerinder often favours the smoothness of porcelain as a counterpoint to rougher textures. In recent years, she has also expanded her expression into painting, further enriching the surfaces and dimensions of her work.
