Description

FDB Møbler’s D20 coffee table, designed by Poul M. Volther, is a solid wood table characterised by soft, rounded lines and natural grain patterns of oak. The rectangular coffee table offers plenty of space for cups and snacks as well as candles and flower vases, and you can use the shelf under the tabletop for storing magazines, books or small storage boxes. The organic, pared-down design of the D20 table looks equally great in both classic and more modern interiors.

Poul M. Volther

Poul M. Volther (1923-2001) was a Danish designer, who was a member of the FDB cooperative, whose aim was to create affordable furniture for everyday use. 

Volther was a trained cabinetmaker and studied later at the Arts and Crafts School in Copenhagen. As a believer in functionalism, he avoided short-lived aesthetic styles and concentrated on simple manufacture of fine materials. His best known work is the Corona chair he designed in 1961. Still today around 3000 Corona chairs are sold annually.

For orders shipped to non-EU countries (excluding the US, Norway, Switzerland and the UK):

  • Product prices are shown without local taxes or import duties
  • Import duties, taxes and customs fees will be charged by local authorities depending on the destination country.
  • These charges are not included at checkout and are payable by the recipient upon delivery.

All orders are shipped from Finland. For non-EU orders, the country of origin for each product is stated in the shipping documents.
