Can Lis, Jørn Utzon offers a visual journey into one of the most intriguing private homes of the 20th century. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, Can Lis was built in the early 1970s on the coast of Mallorca. Constructed from local marés stone, the building blends effortlessly into its surroundings, celebrating the interplay of sun, sea and earth.

The book brings together Simon Watson's atmospheric photography with a curated selection of Utzon's original drawings and archival images. It also features an essay written by Utzon himself, alongside a conversation between his son Jan Utzon and Apartamento editorial director Robbie Whitehead. Reflections from Line Nørskov Davenport, director of exhibitions at the Utzon Center, explore Can Lis as a place of tranquillity – a retreat where Utzon found peace after the monumental task of designing the Sydney Opera House.

Published by Apartamento in collaboration with Ferm Living, this English-language book includes a foreword by Phillipp Materna, Head of Design and Brand at Ferm Living.
