The knitting magazine Beloved Patterns, published by A-lehdet, transforms graphic designer Erik Bruun’s beloved posters into knitting and crochet projects. The magazine features 20 previously unpublished patterns based on the works of the Finnish pioneer of graphic design, alongside an article shedding light on Bruun’s life and career.

The thick, 124-page issue offers knitting instructions for all skill levels, ranging from easy to challenging. Yarn choices were selected with versatility and availability in mind, including options from Novita, Lankava, Markus Company and Tukuwool. With these patterns, you can knit a wide variety of colourwork designs – from socks and accessories to jumpers and cardigans. And if you haven’t yet caught the knitting bug yourself, the magazine makes a delightful gift for any passionate craft enthusiast.

The patterns in Beloved Patterns have been created by a group of Finland’s most popular knitwear designers as well as international names: Heli Hottinen-Puukko, Janita Koskinen, Jenna Kostet, Hannemari Lehtonen, Terri Maue, Tiia Reho, Mia Sumell, Emma Suominen and Anna-Karoliina Tetri.
