STOFF Copenhagen's BMF candleholder proves that good design never goes out of style. The German architect Werner Stoff first designed the three-legged piece for Hans Nagel in the 1960s, but production soon passed to the BMF company, which made it from 1971 to 1985. Now BMF returns as the newest addition to the STOFF Nagel collection.
The BMF candleholder has its own subtle character as the rings and collar are shaped a little differently from Nagel's original. Even so, the two fit together seamlessly, so mixing and matching your own arrangements is easy. A single candleholder makes a quietly striking accent, while several stacked and clustered together grow into something close to an architectural sculpture. Half the fun is in the building, so go ahead and experiment!
