The founding director of the Bauhaus, Gropius created a unique combination of light, geometry and industrial design in his works. Written by Gilbert Lupfer and Paul Sigel from the Technische Universität Dresden, the book is part of Taschen's Basic Architecture series that presents life and work of internationally renowned architects with approximately 120 photographs, sketches and drafts. The series has been edited by German art historian Peter Gössel.
