Description

Wästberg's Pastille wall lamp, designed by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin, consists of a disc-shaped shade and a slender stand with a touch dimmer hidden at the top. The material of the luminaire resembles painted metal in appearance, but is actually biopolyamide; the plant-based, recyclable bioplastic is made from castor oil.

Thanks to the combination of an advanced COB LED light source, a large reflector and a concave diffuser, Pastille emits a pleasantly soft light with a warm white colour temperature of 2700 K. Despite its extremely simplistic, geometric design, Pastille is a very versatile luminaire: its shade rotates smoothly around its axis, so the light can be directed to the pages of a book, for example, or turned facing the wall to create atmospheric general lighting.

    The Pastille lamps were delivered to us in Australia with the incorrect plugs despite the fact that the light fitting has an exchangeable plug - not unlike an Apple power adaptor where the transformer is build directly into the plug. Therefore a simple plug replacement was not an option. We have highlighted this to customer service but they simply said to buy a plug adaptor. After several rounds of going back and forth (and getting nowhere with the Finnish Design Team) we reached out to the manufacturer Wastberg directly who swiftly turned to their agent in Australia who then delivered the correct plug adaptors. Next time we will buy directly from the agent without purchasing from the Finnish Design Shop to avoid these problems. For the record, a light fitting delivered with the incorrect plug is not fit for purpose and therefore should not be sold.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms
