Description

Innolux’s Senator table lamp is a Finnish design classic that carries a sense of dignified authority – a quality that has characterised the piece ever since Lisa Johansson-Pape created it in 1947. Crafted with exceptional care, the lamp combines a wide aluminium shade with a leather-wrapped stem and polished brass details that come to life in the warm glow of the light. Elegant yet understated, Senator is well-suited for reading or focused work in offices, library rooms, reading corners or beside the bed.

The Senator lighting series has a strong connection to Finnish history: a table lamp from the collection stood on President Urho Kekkonen’s desk and often appeared in the background of his New Year’s speeches. Innolux reintroduced this classic in 2017 to celebrate the centenary of Finland’s independence.

  • Care instructions Clean metal parts with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
    The genuine leather wrapped base ages beautifully and acquires a nice patina over time. For the
    best possible result, touch it only with clean
    hands, and clean and treat the leather with
    suitable leathercare set. Treatment tends to make
    the leather slightly darker, so always test the result
    first on a piece of the leather that is not easily
    visible.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.
