Relevo rug

Muuto's Relevo rug has an exceptional shape and vibrant pattern that make sure that the carpet will certainly stand out, no matter if you place it on your bedroom floor or in the living room. The wool carpet is designed by the Italian design studio Studiopepe which took inspiration for the sculptural rug from land art, an art movement that uses natural materials from the earth: soil, rocks and water. And yes, certainly, the graphic lines of the Relevo carpet have much in common with the twisting and winding paths drawn on the surface of the earth.

The Relevo carpet is made by hand tufting wool and then cutting it into different layers. The result is a three-dimensional pattern that emerges from the carpet. The pattern plays with shadows, creating the illusion of a two-coloured carpet – in fact, only green wool has been used. A single rounded corner crowns the soft look of the Relevo rug.

Shedding is a natural occurrence which will decrease over time. Please note that the color of
the Relevo Rug may vary depending on the wool’s natural base color. All sizes
of the Relevo Rug have a sizing tolerance of +/- 2%, meaning that the dimensions of the rug can
differ by a maximum of 2%.
Care instructions
Gentle vacuum cleaning. For cleaning of stains or spots, we recommend professional dry cleaning. Avoid cleaning with water, as this will damage the product.

Studiopepe is a Milan-based design agency founded in 2006, led by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto. Both are graduates of the prestigious Politecnico di Milano, where Lelli Mami studied interior design and Di Pinto industrial design. The multidisciplinary design office combines a poetic design language with precise compositions both in its product designs as well as other projects. Their approach to design is characterised by open-mindedness and a keen eye for detail, with opposing materials or shapes and recognisable symbols often featured in the end results.
