Description

Stilnovo’s Gravitino wall lamp delights with its playful aesthetic rooted in 1960s futurism, defined by spherical forms and glossy surfaces. Designed by Antonio Macchi Cassia and introduced in 1969, the Gravitino is composed of two connected, angled domes – one forming the base and the other acting as an adjustable light head. This clever structure allows you to direct the spotlight-like beam as you wish, whether as indirect light reflected off a wall or as focused light on a book.

The Gravitino wall lamp brings adaptable lighting and a distinctive look to both homes and public spaces, whether used on its own or arranged in larger groups.

Antonio Macchi Cassia is an Italian designer born in Milan in 1937. He studied mechanical engineering in Fribourg, Switzerland, and began his career as a graphic designer in the advertising department of the luxury department store chain La Rinascente. Early in his career, he also worked in mechanical design and materials research before moving into the field of industrial design.

Known for his minimalist aesthetic, Macchi Cassia has received several prestigious awards over the course of his career, including the Compasso d’Oro Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. His work is also included in the collections of institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
