Marset's Fragile table lamp presents geometry and illuminance at their purest. A sphere and a cone are placed on top of a cylinder, each set equally aglow as the light spreads from below, courtesy of the dimmable LED light source. Designer Jaume Ramírez took on a challenge by choosing glass as the material – as everything is on display, there is no room for error. Without a doubt, the end result is a rave success, as proven by the Monocle Design Award granted to Fragile following its launch in 2023.
Playing with the archetype of the table lamp, Fragile exudes effortlessness, an element of surprise, and layers of history. Inspired by the design language of oil lamps and candles, the glass luminaire not only tells a story about the fleeting nature of the present moment but also adds warmth to the atmosphere of any space with its soft and gentle light.
