Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
Simon Evans - In the Arena of Vanguard Cities 2015, 69 x 87,8 cm poster
Description
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art's poster features In the Arena of Vanguard Cities (2015) by American artist Simon Evans. The poster was published in 2016 in connection with Illumination, an exhibition showcasing Louisiana’s recent acquisitions. Evans, who spent his youth in San Francisco pursuing his dream of skating, later turned to writing and emerged in the early 2000s as a visual artist, too. Like In the Arena of Vanguard Cities, his works often take the form of text-based collages composed of short poetic phrases and drawn elements. Together, they capture the significance of everyday observations with a light, quietly ironic touch.
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art’s poster collection includes prints from iconic exhibitions held at the Danish museum over the years. Printed on high-quality paper, posters bring a stylish touch of contemporary art to your walls.
