Skultuna’s Rose candleholder was originally designed in the 1980s, and it was brought back to life in 2021. The story of the candleholder reaches even further into history: the rose shape is based on the seal of the Swedish Västerås cathedral from 1291.
As years go by, the elegant candleholder will only become more beautiful, as the surface slowly patinas over time. Untreated brass typically becomes darker in time, and water or grease can leave marks on its surface. If you want the surface to stay shiny, it is recommended to polish the brass regularly. However, this is completely a matter of taste, and many prefer to let the surface patinate on its own.
