The smallest member of the Leimu table lamp range by Iittala is made of a single piece of transparent, colored glass. The all-glass structure gives the Leimu lamp an airy feeling and diffuses the light in a soft, atmospheric way.

The Loimu collection was designed by Norwegian-born Magnus Pettersen who drew the inspiration from traditional lampshades as well as modern architecture. The warm light of Leimu creates a cozy ambience to any room, and the mouth-blown, tinted glass makes every luminaire unique. The Leimu lamps have been manufactured in Finland.

Magnus Pettersen

The Norwegian designer Magnus Pettersen (b. 1982) moved to London to study furniture design at Kingston University and got a MA in industrial design from Central Saint Martins. Since 2010 he has had an his own studio in London.

In his work he looks how very different materials or colors merge in an interesting and functional way. Pettersen gets inspired by the 1920’s glamor, mid-century simplicity and Scandinavian purity.

Lampe très élégante et une belle lumière. Attention toutefois, très très légère donc peut facilement basculer en tirant le fil de l’interrupteur
