Description

The Cutter box by Skagerak offers a stylish setting for various storage needs from gloves and hats to a shoehorn or your dog's leash and harness. The wooden storage box has grooves on the bottom to make it fit perfectly on top of Skagerak's classic Cutter wardrobe.

The Cutter collection's first object was the Cutter bench, designed by Niels Hvass in 1999 for the Planken Ud exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark. Today, the Cutter collection features numerous designs from a stool to a mirror and storage elements that share the timeless and airy design of the original bench.

  • Care instructions As the wood is untreated it may be affected by grease and colorants. For this reason, we recommend saturating the wood with soap or a suitable furniture oil to make it more resistant. If you wish to use soap or oil, use a suitable product. Be aware that the wood will change color when applying soap or oil.

Niels Hvass

Niels Hvass (b. 1958) is a Danish designer who graduated as a furniture designer from the Danish School of Design in 1987 and has since contributed to Danish design as a designer, teacher and board member. In 2008, Hvass founded design studio Strand + Hvass in Copenhagen together with Christina Strand. Hvass’ work has been exhibited in museums around the globe, and he has received many design awards including the Red Dot Award and Georg Jensen Award.
