Description

The Cutter box by Skagerak offers a stylish setting for various storage needs from scarves and gloves to toys or sports equipment. Complete with tiny wheels, the wooden storage box is designed to fit perfectly under Skagerak's classic Cutter bench.

The Cutter collection's first object was the Cutter bench, designed by Niels Hvass in 1999 for the Planken Ud exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark. Today, the Cutter collection features numerous designs from a stool to a mirror and storage elements that share the timeless and airy design of the original bench.

Niels Hvass

Niels Hvass (b. 1958) is a Danish designer who graduated as a furniture designer from the Danish School of Design in 1987 and has since contributed to Danish design as a designer, teacher and board member. In 2008, Hvass founded design studio Strand + Hvass in Copenhagen together with Christina Strand. Hvass’ work has been exhibited in museums around the globe, and he has received many design awards including the Red Dot Award and Georg Jensen Award.
