Arabia’s Luonto Winter mug is illustrated with a crisp, frosty winter landscape that invites you to go skiing, warm up by a crackling campfire and refresh yourself with a dip in an ice hole. Illustrated by Matti Pikkujämsä, the mugs in Arabia’s Luonto collection bring the atmosphere of Finland’s changing seasons to the table. Named after a Finnish word for nature, the colorful designs showcase not only the natural elements of each season, but also the cultural heritage and seasonal activities associated with them. Matti Pikkujämsä

Matti Pikkujämsä (b. 1976) is a Finnish illustrator and graphic designer educated at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. He is especially known for his playful and charming illustrations for children’s books. In addition to book covers and editorial illustrations for publications such as Helsingin Sanomat and Image, Pikkujämsä has designed patterns for brands like Samuji, Marimekko and Kauniste. Several books illustrated by Pikkujämsä have been nominated for the Finlandia Junior Prize. In 2013, he received the Rudolf Koivu Award and in 2015, the Finnish State Prize for Illustration.
