Iittala’s Vulpes Polar Fox brings Klaus Haapaniemi’s forest-inspired world of imagination to life. The Vulpes foxes are modern glass art pieces that combine the enchanting illustrations of Haapaniemi with the exceptional craftsmanship of Iittala’s glassblowers.

The Vulpes Polar Fox is a blue, sitting arctic fox made with complex hot and cold working techniques. Each piece features hand-engraved numbering on the base along with the signature “KlausH IITTALA,” and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Klaus Haapaniemi himself. These unique glass foxes are not only coveted collector’s items but also striking interior accents worthy of a place of pride in the home.

Klaus Haapaniemi

Klaus Haapaniemi (b. 1970) is one of Finland’s most internationally acclaimed illustrators and designers. His distinctive style blends themes drawn from Nordic nature, folklore and mythology with a luxurious and modern aesthetic. A graduate of the Lahti Institute of Design, Haapaniemi has created prints for brands like Diesel, Levi’s and Dolce & Gabbana, and illustrated the beloved Iittala tableware series Taika and Satumetsä. Haapaniemi was named Finland’s Designer of the Year in 2008 and was awarded the Finnish State Prize for Design in 2018.

In 2010, Haapaniemi founded his own brand, Klaus Haapaniemi Co., together with his spouse Mia Wallenius. The collection features a range of high-quality textiles and decor items, such as decorative cushions and wallpapers. Having lived in London for many years, the designer now divides his time between Berlin, Germany, and Tampere, Finland.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Private customers: For orders of NZD$1,000 or less, a 15% GST is included in the prices. For orders over NZD$1,000, GST is collected by New Zealand customs and therefore deducted from the total amount. The deduction is visible in the cost breakdown at checkout.
