Description

The Touch: Spaces Designed for the Senses introduces the reader to the world of human-centered design by exploring its most essential elements: light, materials, colors, nature and community. The book presents a total of 25 homes, hotels, museums and other spaces around the world where haptic design is used to awaken the senses and create a more powerful experience. The book explores, for example, how the materials of a Danish showroom invite to touch rather than take a photo, or how the sound of trickling water in a ryokan in Kyoto creates a calming atmosphere. Created in collaboration between Nathan Williams of Kinfolk and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen of Norm Architects, this book offers inspiration in the form of photographs and essays as well as practical tips.

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

15% GST is included in all prices presented on our website.

Private customers: For orders of NZD$1,000 or less, a 15% GST is included in the prices. For orders over NZD$1,000, GST is collected by New Zealand customs and therefore deducted from the total amount. The deduction is visible in the cost breakdown at checkout.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by local customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.
