The Caroline sofa is woven by hand from Indonesian, sustainably sourced rattan, making each sofa one of a kind, with the natural material adding to its unique charm: rattan is characterised by a lively surface with varying shades or annual growth rings.
Rattan is a tropical species of wood that thrives best in slightly humid conditions – the sofa should therefore not be placed next to a fireplace or other heat source. In outdoor use, rattan tolerates temperature fluctuations well, but it is advisable to place the rattan furniture under a canopy, for example, to protect it from the scorching sun as well as rain and snow. The garden sofa can also be protected with a weather-resistant cover or stored indoors when not in use.
